About the Opportunity
The VP of Operational Integrity is the ultimate owner of execution, product delivery, and operational machinery across Engineering.
Historically, engineers get bogged down in operational overhead: tracking customer commitments, running compliance reports, managing SLA enforcement, and navigating vendor contracts. This role exists to completely eliminate that burden and be a force multiplier of outcomes. You will own engineering operations specifically from the perspective of delivering the product to the customer, allowing our Engineering and AI teams to focus 100% of their energy on building SOTA products.
You will ensure the absolute integrity and outcome of our engineering operations. This means managing the execution of all necessary standard engineering and AI security/compliance reporting, strictly meeting issue SLAs, hitting our reliability and uptime commitments, and ensuring we remain strictly contractually compliant with both our customers and our vendors. Furthermore, you will own the operational tracking and delivery of specific, customized features that we have promised to key enterprise accounts.
This is a highly rigorous, high-leverage leadership role for an enforcer who can impose order on complexity, execute against strict contractual requirements, surface risk early, and guarantee that the Engineering organization flawlessly delivers on its promises to the market.
About the Team
You will report directly to the CTO and work across the entire Engineering function. You will partner closely with the VP of AI, CISO, Product, Customer Experience (CX), and Revenue teams, serving as the operational bridge that converts engineering code into fulfilled customer promises.
What You’ll Do
Product Delivery & Customer Commitments
- Own the end-to-end operational delivery of the product to the customer.
- Build and govern the operating system for tracking customer-facing engineering commitments, explicitly ensuring that customer-specific features we promised are delivered on time, to spec, and without dropping the ball.
- Surface delivery risks early, forcing operational decisions and alignment between go-to-market promises and engineering realities before issues become customer escalations.
SLA, Reliability & Contractual Compliance
- Guarantee the operational integrity of our SLAs and system reliability commitments.
- Ensure the engineering organization is strictly contractually compliant with our vendors (usage, API limits, terms) and our customers (uptime, support SLAs, data boundaries).
- Build the automated operational reporting structures that track and prove our adherence to these commitments in real-time.
Compliance Operations & AI Security Execution
- Operationalize the compliance frameworks defined by the CISO and VP of AI.
- Run the day-to-day execution of necessary compliance reporting across standard engineering operations, data privacy, and AI security/regulatory frameworks.
- Manage the rigorous operational tracking of security vulnerabilities and compliance audits, ensuring the engineering team hits remediation SLAs without having to manage the process.
Cross-Functional Execution & Engineer Shielding
- Serve as the definitive operational shield for the Engineering organization. Abstract all operational, reporting, and process overhead away from the engineering teams so they can focus entirely on building software.
- Identify breakdowns in cross-functional handoffs, ownership, or prioritization, and ruthlessly drive them to immediate closure.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear execution mechanisms, defined owners, rigid dates, and mapped dependencies.
Churn Mitigation & Operating Cadence
- Partner with CX to coordinate engineering delivery specifically targeted at addressing systemic churn drivers and at-risk enterprise accounts.
- Stand up weekly and monthly execution cadences that create undeniable accountability across the tech org.
- Push leaders when commitments drift, risks are ignored, or ambiguity becomes an excuse.
What You Bring
- Deep, proven product and engineering operational leadership experience within complex, high-velocity SaaS engineering or product organizations.
- Strong expertise in managing strict SLAs, reliability metrics, compliance reporting execution, and technical vendor/customer contractual commitments.
- Strong business judgment and systems thinking; deep comfort operating between deeply technical engineering teams and customer-facing business teams.
- Relentless bias toward clarity, extreme ownership, and shielding technical teams from non-technical overhead.
- Experience matters, but we care more about slope than tenure; we want an operator with intense execution focus and the ability to learn fast.
