Strategic Customer Vice President
Global medical device and healthcare solutions company seeking a Strategic Customer Vice President to serve as the primary point of coordination for our most important health system relationships. This role reports to the VP of Strategic Customer Group and leads a matrixed, multi-functional team to drive enterprise-level customer success and long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Market Strategy
- Set and lead system-level strategy for top strategic accounts, including joint business planning
- Cultivate executive-level relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Coordinate commercial account teams and functional resources to deliver aligned value
- Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide strategic recommendations
- Develop integrated business strategies with clinicians and key decision-makers across business units including Contracting, Legal, Supply Chain, Marketing, HEOR, and Medical
Commercial & Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute strategic account business plans, tracking growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and goal alignment
- Manage enterprise customer budgets and drive financial growth across all business units
- Hold account teams accountable to business plans and success metrics
- Align resources, remove obstacles, and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver results
Commercial Excellence
- Lead change management and align multi-functional account teams on strategy execution
- Create account strategies tied to revenue growth, market share, and margin performance
- Maintain regular pipeline reviews and cross-functional cadence to drive sustained excellence
Organizational Leadership & Talent Development
- Partner with business unit and functional leaders to execute growth strategies
- Coach and mentor strategic account teams to deliver and exceed expectations
- Champion a high-performance culture aligned with company goals and values
- Support talent review processes to develop future leaders
- Champion Inclusion & Diversity in talent acquisition and development
Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all local, state, federal, and company regulations, policies, and quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred
- 7+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience; second-line leadership experience preferred
- 5+ years of large account management and IDN experience with a proven track record in the healthcare industry
- Strong background in sales management, marketing, or relevant functional leadership
- Demonstrated expertise in joint business planning and leading cross-functional, matrixed teams
- Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements and deliver customized solutions
- Exceptional executive-level communication, influencing, and presentation skills
- Solid understanding of the US healthcare industry and Health Care IT, with strong financial and analytical skills
- Ability to travel 25%
