POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly creative and analytical Social Media Manager to lead day-to-day social content, community engagement, and platform strategy for Urban Skin Rx.
This role will be responsible for developing content calendars, managing posting schedules, engaging with the community, monitoring performance, and helping shape each brand’s voice and visual identity on social. The ideal candidate is a digital-native storyteller who understands beauty culture, emerging trends, and the evolving social media landscape.
This position reports to the Senior Social Media Manager and collaborates cross-functionally with Creative, Influencer, and Brand teams to bring Urban Skin Rx’s digital storytelling to life within the broader AXB portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation & Calendar Development
- Own social content planning and execution for Urban Skin Rx across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube.
- Develop monthly and campaign-based content calendars in collaboration with Brand, Creative, and Influencer teams.
- Brief and manage photo, video, and UGC content production; ensure alignment with brand aesthetics and tone of voice.
- Partner with external agencies and contractors to ensure consistency of content and brand strategy for Urban Skin Rx.
Community Management & Engagement
- Manage daily community interactions across all Urban Skin Rx social platforms, including DMs, comments, and tags.
- Proactively engage with followers, customers, influencers, and brand advocates to foster authentic relationships.
- Implement best practices for brand reputation management, customer care escalation, and tone of voice.
Social Listening
- Monitor conversations, trends, and cultural moments relevant to beauty, skincare, and wellness.
- Identify emerging content formats, trending audio, and viral moments to integrate into brand strategy.
- Report consumer insights and cultural takeaways to marketing leadership and creative partners.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyze social media performance across platforms to measure reach, engagement, follower growth, and traffic.
- Create monthly reports with actionable insights and recommendations to improve performance.
- Stay informed on algorithm changes, platform updates, and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Influencer Marketing Manager to ensure influencer content and partnerships are integrated into the brand’s social strategy.
- Work with the E-commerce and Retention Marketing teams to align social content with product launches, campaigns, and promotional calendars.
- 3–5 years of experience in social media management, preferably within beauty, skincare, or CPG brands.
- Expert understanding of major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube) and emerging trends.
- Proven track record of growing engaged communities and delivering measurable results.
- Experience in content planning tools (Later, Planoly, Sprout Social, or similar) and social analytics dashboards.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
- Proficient in interpreting data and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Highly collaborative, organized, and passionate about beauty, wellness, and culture.
