Senior Supply Chain Manager
European Tech Recruit are working closely with a leading satellite and data company who are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to join them on a remote basis within Spain.
In this role you will lead their regional supplier ecosystem. You will focus on building high-stakes relationships, formal supplier qualification, and partnering with Engineering and Global Supply Chain teams. The ideal candidate has a strong "follow-up" mindset and will travel frequently to visit in-region suppliers.
Responsibilities as Senior Supply Chain Manager:
- Analyze purchasing trends and develop procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Coordinate and manage purchase orders, supplier quotations, and sourcing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Support contract negotiations and assist in supplier selection.
- Assist in developing and maintaining vendor scorecards to track and evaluate supplier performance.
- Identify and address supplier performance issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Help onboard new suppliers and maintain accurate vendor records
- Manage supply chain budgets and work to reduce operating costs without sacrificing quality or service.
- Support demand forecasting and planning processes with supply chain insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Experience working with international suppliers and logistics providers is a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with vendor management best practices.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, customs, and import/export compliance.
- Certification in supply chain (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CPM, or similar) is an advantage.
