Accountabilities
- Lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver measurable cost savings and operational value
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts across Indigenous and non-Indigenous vendor networks
- Oversee RFP processes, contract negotiations, and end-to-end sourcing projects from planning to execution
- Act as the subject matter expert on market trends, supplier performance, and pricing strategies
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to clients based on market intelligence and operational data
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing sourcing team focused on excellence and accountability
- Ensure compliance with internal sourcing policies, risk frameworks, and ethical standards
- Support diversity and Indigenous supplier engagement strategies aligned with client and organizational goals
- Represent the organization in client meetings, supplier discussions, and business reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sourcing strategies
- 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership roles
- Strong background in the energy sector, with knowledge of physical site operations considered a strong asset
- Experience working with Indigenous suppliers and community partnerships
- Proven ability to lead teams in decentralized and complex environments
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated project management and stakeholder management experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or SCM certification preferred
- Willingness to travel occasionally across Canada and select U.S. locations
- Competitive salary range: CAD $135,000 - $160,000 per year
