We are currently seeking a Claims Manager for a senior-level assignment within the renewable energy / infrastructure sector.
The role focuses on the proactive management and resolution of high-value and high-risk claims across operational, contractual, warranty, and insurance domains. The objective is to drive commercially sound outcomes, minimise exposure, and protect business continuity and revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities
Claims Strategy & Execution
- Lead assessment, development, and execution of claim strategies across complex portfolios
- Manage high-value claims including contractual, operational, warranty, and insurance-related cases
- Evaluate claims from commercial, legal, and technical perspectives
- Drive resolution strategies aligned with internal stakeholders and business objectives
Contract & Dispute Management
- Interpret complex contract structures and identify commercial risks
- Lead dispute resolution processes including negotiation, arbitration, and adjudication
- Manage engagement with external legal counsel, insurance advisors, and third-party experts
Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Legal, Commercial, Operations, and Asset Management
- Provide strategic advisory to internal stakeholders on claims development and mitigation
- Support negotiation and resolution with clients, contractors, and suppliers
Governance, Reporting & Compliance
- Monitor claim portfolios and deliver structured reporting to senior management
- Ensure high-quality contract administration and documentation for claims processes
- Maintain compliance with internal governance frameworks and claims procedures
Required Experience & Competencies
- 5+ years of experience within renewables, construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure
- Proven track record as a Claims Manager and/or Contract Manager
- Strong experience with:
- Contractual claims (EPC, O&M, supplier contracts)
- Insurance claims and policy structures
- Warranty and operational claims
- Solid knowledge of:
- Contract law and commercial agreements
- Claims preparation and documentation
- Dispute resolution processes (litigation, arbitration, adjudication)
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Analyze complex contractual frameworks
- Manage high-value claims and negotiations
- Work in cross-functional and international environments
- Experience managing:
- External legal advisors
- Insurance specialists
- Technical consultants
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
Education
- Degree within Engineering, Law, Commercial Management, or similar
- Additional qualifications within claims, insurance, or risk management are advantageous
