Accountabilities
- You provide strategic direction across multiple product categories in Austria, translating country and company objectives into actionable initiatives and ensuring corrective actions when performance gaps arise.
- You collaborate with Controlling, Country Management, and steering committees to support forecasting, annual planning, and financial alignment through data-driven insights and category expertise.
- You drive optimization of assortment strategy, including bundles and sets, to improve average order value, margin contribution, and overall market coverage.
- You act as a key interface between cross-functional teams such as Pricing, Procurement, CRO, CRM, Marketplace, and Country Management to ensure aligned execution of commercial initiatives.
- You lead and develop a small team of Category Managers, fostering growth, efficiency, and scalable ways of working across the function.
- You bring solid experience in Category Management within e-commerce, online retail, marketplace, or similar digital-first business models, ideally with exposure to country-level steering.
- You have strong expertise in forecasting, margin management, and performance steering, with a clear understanding of how category decisions impact P&L outcomes.
- You are experienced in working within steering committees or similar governance structures and are comfortable contributing to high-level commercial decision-making.
- You demonstrate strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data, market trends, and business goals into clear priorities.
- You are fluent in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across international and cross-functional stakeholders.
- You are a collaborative leader who enjoys working closely with others in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment.
