We are hiring a Senior Business Consultant (Data Governance) to support a high-impact digital transformation initiative within the Environment & Protected Areas ministry.
This role will help build a modern, data-driven regulatory system, focusing on governance, data quality, and KPI frameworks. Ideal for professionals experienced in data governance, business consulting, and enterprise IT environments.
- Design and implement data governance frameworks
- Define processes for data identification, onboarding, and lifecycle management
- Develop KPIs and reporting frameworks for regulatory programs
- Establish data quality assurance and control processes
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions
- Create documentation, standards, and knowledge transfer materials
- Support digital transformation and regulatory modernization initiatives
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Business, Management, or related field
- 10+ years in leadership and stakeholder engagement roles
- 10+ years working with business and IT application stakeholders
- 5+ years experience in:
- Analytical problem solving and solution design
- Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Analytical problem solving and solution design
- PMP / PgMP / CAPM or CMC certification
- Experience in government or large enterprise environments
- Experience in:
- Digital transformation programs
- Organizational change management
- Business case development
- Communication planning
- Information management policies
- Digital transformation programs
- Remote-first (must be located in Alberta)
- Occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton (quarterly)
