Your Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, creative thinker with a passion for local marketing to help grow our range of Elida Beauty brands, which include Q-tips, St Ives, Pond’s and others.
The ideal candidate will drive the business forward with out of the box ideas, strong leadership of the cross-functional team and possible direct reports, clear understanding of the business situation and significant bias for action to capitalize on new growth opportunities.
This position will require an in-depth understanding of brand building, which includes customer and consumer focus, category and channel planning, competitive awareness and P&L delivery, while also helping to establish new marketing models that are laser focused on our target and digital first in nature. The role will report to the Marketing Director of Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Vision
- Develops the marketing and brand innovation strategy for a large brand or a group of medium to small brands; owns all idea creation through execution and defines the direction of brand strategy and the supporting tactics to bring those strategies to fruition. Brings an iterative, ‘test and learn’ approach to brand innovation and an understanding of agile ways of working towards Minimal Viable Product (MVP) development with a focus on market activation
- Applies analytical ability to develop personalization strategies at the individual or micro-segment level; creates the foundational thinking required to create visibility behind the strategic direction of his or her brands; defines parameters through which we activate our brands and build more enduring, consistent and powerful relationships with our consumer.
Operations
- Demonstrates agility by working across functions and regions (as necessary) to drive alignment on brand activation; Shares knowledge and lessons learned proactively with other brand managers globally
- Showcases proficiency in the areas of Communication Strategy, Product Strategy, Innovation Strategy, and Brand Image; is able to evaluate what characterizes a strong brand strategy and execution, as well as what does not; understands how to access talent to deliver brand activation strategy
- Manages the P&L for brand(s) and possesses superior analytical skills that can be used to understand trends/patterns and adjust the strategy accordingly
- Possesses a strong level of understanding of consumers and how to develop ideas into marketing strategy
- Brings together the sub-functions of marketing in the areas of brand, innovation, insights & planning (research), and media & marketing operations (includes promotions), to effectively develop winning brand strategies and supporting tactics for execution

Ideal Experience:
- Bachelor degree required, MBA a plus
- 7+ years’ experience in Brand Marketing, preferably CPG and Beauty
- Strong analytical skills
- Understanding of digital and e-commerce
- Clear demonstration of successful, consistent delivery to the business
- Experience working with agencies and media partners, as well as IAT leadership experience
- Experience working with different customer channels, with a focus on beauty and skincare channels
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to provide innovative approaches in a team-based structure
- Ability to deliver both verbal and written communication in a simple, compelling manner.
