Regional Manager – Technical Sales (Water Treatment)
A regional leadership role responsible for managing a team of Technical Sales & Applications professionals supporting industrial and municipal membrane treatment customers. The position focuses on sales execution, team development, and technical customer support across an assigned territory. This is a remote, field-based role with frequent regional travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional technical sales team through joint field work and performance management
- Execute regional sales strategies to support revenue growth, account retention, and penetration of new opportunities
- Support key customer accounts directly, including troubleshooting, system optimization, cleaning, piloting, and technical evaluations
- Oversee pilot programs and serve as escalation support for complex technical or customer issues
- Coordinate with internal sales, applications, customer service, and operations teams
- Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline reporting, and CRM activity
- Build working relationships with customers, consultants, and distribution partners
Requirements
- Experience managing and developing technical sales or applications teams
- Strong knowledge of membrane water treatment processes (MF/UF, NF/RO), including fouling, scaling, and cleaning
- Background in industrial or municipal water treatment sales, applications, or operations
- Ability to translate technical data into practical customer recommendations
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region, including overnight travel
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in membrane water treatment–related sales or technical roles
