Regional Manager – Technical Sales (Water Treatment)


A regional leadership role responsible for managing a team of Technical Sales & Applications professionals supporting industrial and municipal membrane treatment customers. The position focuses on sales execution, team development, and technical customer support across an assigned territory. This is a remote, field-based role with frequent regional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a regional technical sales team through joint field work and performance management
  • Execute regional sales strategies to support revenue growth, account retention, and penetration of new opportunities
  • Support key customer accounts directly, including troubleshooting, system optimization, cleaning, piloting, and technical evaluations
  • Oversee pilot programs and serve as escalation support for complex technical or customer issues
  • Coordinate with internal sales, applications, customer service, and operations teams
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline reporting, and CRM activity
  • Build working relationships with customers, consultants, and distribution partners

Requirements

  • Experience managing and developing technical sales or applications teams
  • Strong knowledge of membrane water treatment processes (MF/UF, NF/RO), including fouling, scaling, and cleaning
  • Background in industrial or municipal water treatment sales, applications, or operations
  • Ability to translate technical data into practical customer recommendations
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region, including overnight travel

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in membrane water treatment–related sales or technical roles
