CarePortals is building the backbone of direct-to-consumer telehealth.
We help digital health brands launch faster, run more efficiently, and scale with confidence by bringing together E-commerce, EHR, CRM, patient experience, and operational workflows on a single platform. We’re building the infrastructure layer behind modern telehealth brands!
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Product Owner to help bring structure, clarity, and execution discipline to how we build and improve CarePortals as we scale.
You’ll work closely with the founding team, engineering, customer success, and operations to translate customer needs, workflow gaps, and business priorities into clear product requirements and actionable development work.
This is a highly hands-on role, ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to turn complex healthcare workflows into clear product specs, tickets, and priorities.
What you’ll work on
- Own and manage the product backlog across key areas of the CarePortals platform
- Translate customer feedback, internal requests, and operational pain points into clear product requirements
- Write user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow documentation, and product specs
- Work closely with engineering to clarify requirements, prioritize tickets, and support delivery
- Collaborate with customer success and onboarding teams to identify recurring issues and product improvement opportunities
- Support integrations with EHRs, pharmacies, telehealth networks, labs, payment processors, and third-party APIs
- Help define and prioritize roadmap items based on customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility
- Coordinate QA, release readiness, and internal communication around product updates
- Maintain strong documentation for features, workflows, and internal product processes
- Bring structure to ambiguity in a fast-moving startup environment
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Product Operations Manager, or similar role
- Experience in direct-to-consumer telehealth, digital health, or healthcare SaaS
- Strong understanding of patient journeys, intake flows, checkout, async care, prescription workflows, labs, pharmacy fulfillment, and provider operations
- Experience translating business needs, customer feedback, and operational workflows into clear technical requirements
- Excellent written communication skills, especially around specs, tickets, workflows, and acceptance criteria
- Comfortable working closely with engineers, designers, customer success, implementation teams, and founders
- Strong judgment around prioritization, tradeoffs, and customer impact
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through
- Comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities can move quickly
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Nice to have
- Experience at or around high-growth direct-to-consumer healthcare brands, telehealth clinics, EHR/EMR platforms, pharmacy/lab infrastructure providers, or healthcare marketplaces
- Familiarity with HIPAA, PHIPA, PIPEDA, or healthcare compliance
What success looks like in this role
- Engineering has clearer requirements and fewer blockers
- Product priorities are better organized and easier to execute
- Customer feedback is translated into actionable product improvements
- Releases are better planned, communicated, and documented
- Internal teams have better visibility into what is being built and why
- CarePortals ships faster with more clarity, consistency, and confidence
