Core Responsibilities
- Review and annotate U.S. court opinions and legal filings sourced from CourtListener
- Author complex legal reasoning problems grounded in real judicial documents
- Apply legal judgment to evaluate case outcomes, reasoning quality, and document classification
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity across all structured tasks
- Follow project guidelines and maintain high-quality standards
- Work independently while meeting weekly deliverables
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3+ years of professional legal experience (law firm, in-house, government, or legal research organization)
- J.D., LL.M., or equivalent legal degree from a top U.S. university
- Experience with U.S. federal or state court systems
- Strong reading comprehension and analysis of legal texts
- Ability to complete structured legal tasks with consistency and accuracy
- Availability to commit approximately 15 hours per week
