Accountabilities
- Manage, maintain, and monitor Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
- Oversee VMware ESXi hosts and virtual machine infrastructure, ensuring stability and performance
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, user and group management, and permissions
- Monitor server health, capacity, and performance; respond to alerts and resolve incidents efficiently
- Assist with infrastructure services including storage, networking basics, virtualization, and backup/recovery solutions
- Collaborate with service desk teams and escalation tiers to ensure smooth incident, problem, and service request resolution
- Document infrastructure, configurations, run books, and contribute to standard operating procedures
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, tooling, monitoring enhancements, and standardization
- 3-5+ years of experience in infrastructure support or systems administration, with a focus on Windows Servers and virtualization (VMware ESXi or similar)
- Experience with server monitoring tools, incident response, and alert management
- Ability to operate in a managed services context with multiple client environments and standardized processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a remote, multinational team
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse international teams
- Fluency in English and German, both spoken and written
