Role Overview
We are seeking a senior, hands-on HR professional who has successfully built HR functions from 0 to 1 and can operate independently in a fast-paced fintech environment.
This is not a purely strategic role — we are looking for someone who can both design systems and execute operationally.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Infrastructure & System Building
- Build and optimize HR frameworks, policies, and processes from scratch
- Establish compliant U.S. HR policies and employee handbook
- Design onboarding, offboarding, and performance management processes
- Implement HR systems and workflows
2. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with U.S. employment laws and regulations
- Manage contractor vs. employee classification
- Handle employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Partner with legal advisors on risk mitigation
3. Full-Spectrum HR Operations
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
- Oversee payroll coordination and salary payments
- Handle vendor management (PEO/EOR/payroll providers)
- Manage benefits administration
- Support headcount planning and workforce structure
4. Employee Relations & Culture
- Provide practical, solution-oriented guidance to leadership
- Support managers in performance management and conflict resolution
- Foster a strong, accountable, and high-performance culture
Requirements
- 5+ years of HR experience
- Proven experience building HR systems or functions from 0 to 1
- Strong understanding of U.S. employment law and compliance
- Previous experience in fintech, crypto, or financial services
- Highly hands-on and execution-oriented
- Clear thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a multinational and cross-cultural environment
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced startup
