About The Role

The Human Resources Specialist plays a vital role in supporting HR operations across multiple client schools. The primary focus of this role is to execute onboarding, hiring, and HR processes efficiently, ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience. The specialist works closely with the HR team to support school leaders and staff by maintaining systems, managing day-to-day HR functions, and ensuring accurate processing of employee data. This position involves supporting recruitment efforts, managing HRIS and ATS transactions, and assisting with payroll and benefits administration. The role requires a detail-oriented, proactive individual capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a remote setting, with occasional travel and residence in Colorado Springs preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of human resource experience
  • Proven ability to execute multiple tasks while managing priorities effectively
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or similar productivity software
  • Passion for Minga Education Group’s mission and impact in education
  • Self-motivated and disciplined work ethic
  • SHRM-CP certification is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring timely completion of all required documentation and steps
  • Assist with HRIS and ATS transactions related to hiring, onboarding, and employee setup
  • Coordinate background checks and employment verifications
  • Respond to routine onboarding questions from new employees and school leaders
  • Assist with job postings, applicant tracking, and interview scheduling
  • Review and ensure consistency in job descriptions prior to posting
  • Enter, update, and maintain employee information within HRIS and payroll systems
  • Support processing employee changes such as compensation updates and status changes
  • Maintain workflows in systems like Jotform, Monday.com, and DocuSign to support HR processes
  • Assist with payroll data entry, benefits deductions, and related payroll activities
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Support HR audits and maintain organized, compliant employee records
  • Respond promptly to employee inquiries and escalate complex or sensitive issues as needed
  • Stay informed about HR best practices and regulatory updates to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Participate in additional HR projects and initiatives as assigned by leadership
