PSHSA is seeking a detail‑oriented and collaborative HR & Governance Coordinator (Contract) to support our people practices and governance operations. This role is well‑suited to someone who is looking to build experience across human resources and corporate governance, while working closely with senior leadership on organization‑wide priorities.

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the HR & Governance Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating HR activities and supporting Board and Committee processes. The role involves working with information that requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement, and contributes to the effective operation of HR and governance activities across PSHSA.

This is a non‑bargaining unit, full‑time contract position that offers broad organizational exposure, varied responsibilities, and meaningful opportunities to develop skills in HR and governance.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the Director, Corporate Services, including meeting coordination, calendar support, and tracking priorities and follow‑ups
  • Support Board and Standing Committee operations by preparing meeting materials such as agendas, briefing notes, action lists, and minutes, and coordinating meeting logistics
  • Contribute to key governance activities, including planning and execution of the Annual General Meeting (registration, Board attendance, voting support, minutes)
  • Coordinate HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment administration, onboarding and offboarding support, documentation, and employee communications
  • Maintain organized, accurate records and tracking tools to support HR and governance operations

Details of the role

The work is performed in a remote office environment with standard working conditions. Occasional travel may be required for in‑person meetings, Board meetings, and organizational events.

Hours of work: 37.5 / week Travel Required: Yes, only when necessary.

Location: Remote Salary: $36/hour

Position context: This is a new contract role created to support current HR and governance workload demands and organizational priorities. The position is established as a contract to provide flexibility while these needs continue to evolve.
