Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation within the Retail sector to recruit a Head of Procurement. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape and embed a top tier indirect procurement function within a fast-paced, multi site environment.


Reporting into the Procurement Director, this role will take full ownership of the indirect procurement strategy across a large and diverse spend portfolio. Managing a small team, the successful candidate will deliver value, efficiency, governance, and supplier performance, positioning procurement as a true strategic partner to the wider business.


They are looking for a senior procurement leader with strong experience across indirect/GNFR categories who can combine strategic vision with hands-on delivery and thrive in an autonomous, evolving environment. Experience in a greenfield environment would be beneficial!

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the indirect procurement strategy, aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead a full review of current procurement practices, identifying opportunities to improve.
  • Own end-to-end procurement activity across indirect categories, including sourcing strategy, tendering, negotiation, contract award, and supplier management.
  • Implement procurement policies, frameworks, and governance to ensure best practice and compliance across the organisation.
  • Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing supplier relationship management (SRM), driving performance, innovation, and sustainability.


Experience & Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior procurement leadership role, with a strong focus on indirect/GNFR categories.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering cost optimisation and commercial value within a complex, multi site organisation.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practice, governance, and commercial/contractual frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to operate at senior leadership level.
