Position: Grocery Shopper Expert
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $35 - $50/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Select and procure grocery products for retail and wholesale operations.
- Analyze market trends, consumer demand, and competitor offerings.
- Negotiate pricing and supplier agreements to maximize profitability.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality and availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and address stock risks proactively.
- Develop category-specific buying strategies for different product types.
- Communicate insights and decisions clearly to cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Strong experience in retail, wholesale, procurement, or grocery buying.
- Expertise in product selection, negotiation, and purchasing strategies.
- Strong analytical skills for market and consumer trend evaluation.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and contracts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong inventory management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
