About Upbeat Studio
Upbeat Studio is a music education tech company based in Valencia, Spain. We build Drum Coach, an AI-powered practice app used by drummers in 60+ countries, and Drum Notes, a Grammy Award-winning drum notation editor. We're a small, passionate, resilient and hands-on team, building products that help musicians grow.
About the Role
We're looking for a Content & Community Manager to join us full-time, working remotely from Valencia, for 12 months. You'll be the voice of Upbeat across our channels — making content, talking to our community, and helping us grow internationally.
Most of your work will be in English, since the majority of our community is international (US, UK, LATAM, Europe).
What you'll do
Your mission is simple: grow awareness for Upbeat Studio by creating content that connects, and by being a real presence in our community.
That means producing media that drummers actually want to watch, read, and share — short videos, social posts, emails, whatever fits the moment. It also means showing up where our community already is — replying to comments, joining the conversation, spotting the stories worth telling, and building Upbeat's authority across channels over time.
We work with AI every day. Not as a side project — as the way we move. We use it to write faster, edit faster, ideate faster, and try things we couldn't try before. You don't need to be an AI expert on day one, but you need to be genuinely curious, open to experimenting, and excited about figuring out how to do your job better with these tools. We'll support you in learning, but this curiosity is a must.
You'll work closely with Raul (CEO) and Cris (designer), with the freedom to bring your own ideas and run with them.
Who you are
— Genuinely curious about AI. You're already playing with AI tools and want to use them to work smarter and faster.
— Strong communicator in English. You write clearly, with personality, and you can adapt your voice across platforms.
— A feel for social media and community. You understand how conversations happen online and what makes people engage.
— Confident video editor. CapCut, Premiere, or similar — you can turn raw footage into something that lands on Reels, Shorts, or TikTok.
— Visual instincts. You know what good looks like. Your taste is solid even if you're not a designer.
— Music-minded. You don't need to play an instrument, but if you do, it's a plus. Drums is a double plus. 🥁
— Hands-on and self-driven. You like making things ship. You don't need to be told what to post every day.

This position is offered as a 12-month training contract (contrato formativo) funded through a Valencian Government program supporting SME internationalization. Specific eligibility criteria apply, which we'll review through the screening questions and during the application process.
