Summary:
The communications Coordinator supports PCRF’s U.S.-based communications work across multiple teams and platforms, with responsibility for email setup and deployment, audience engagement, social media direct message support, copywriting, and day-to-day communications assistance. This role works closely with the Development, Outreach, Partnerships, and Chapters units to help execute timely, polished, and mission-aligned communications for donors, supporters, volunteers, and the public, while also supporting chapter social media coordinators with account-related needs, messaging coordination, and communications follow-up as part of PCRF’s broader U.S. communications efforts
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Email Communications and Audience Engagement
- Manage email setup, formatting, scheduling, and deployment through Mailchimp and related platforms.
- Support the drafting, editing, and review of donor-facing, public-facing, and campaign-related email communications.
- Assist with list organization, audience segmentation, and quality control for email communications.
- Monitor incoming digital inquiries and direct messages across social media platforms and help respond, route, or escalate as needed.
- Provide timely communications support tied to campaigns, announcements, appeals, events, and organizational priorities.
Communications Support Across U.S. Teams
- Work closely with the Development, Outreach, Partnerships, and Chapters units to provide on-demand communications support.
- Assist with drafting and editing messaging for campaigns, events, partnerships, fundraising, chapter needs, and public communications.
- Help staff translate internal priorities into polished external communications appropriate for different audiences.
- Support communications requests across teams and help ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Maintain organized communications workflows, drafts, templates, and follow-up systems for recurring needs.
Chapter Communications Support
- Support communications coordination related to PCRF’s U.S. chapter network, especially chapter social media coordinators.
- Assist chapter volunteers with account-related needs, communications guidance, approved messaging, and coordination with the national team.
- Help ensure chapter-facing communications are aligned with organizational standards, branding, and campaign priorities.
- Track recurring chapter communications needs and support follow-up in an organized and timely manner.
Copywriting and Content Development
- Write and edit polished copy for email communications, campaign support, announcements, social media messaging, and other external-facing needs.
- Support the development of clear, accurate, and compelling messaging for donors, supporters, volunteers, and the public.
- Review content for consistency in tone, clarity, grammar, and alignment with PCRF’s voice and mission.
- Assist in developing communications materials that help strengthen public engagement and internal coordination.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in communications, digital content, email marketing, campaign support, or related work.
- Nonprofit experience is preferred.
- Experience in using Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms is required.
- Experience supporting communications needs across multiple teams or stakeholders is strongly preferred.
- Experience in writing donor-facing or public-facing communications is required.
Technical Skills
- Mailchimp or similar email platform experience, including setup, formatting, scheduling, and list coordination.
- Strong copywriting and copyediting skills.
- Experience supporting social media engagement and direct message management.
- Familiarity with digital communications workflows and shared content development processes.
- Comfort using cloud-based collaboration tools and communications tracking systems.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests with strong attention to detail.
Soft Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Bonus Experience (preferred):
- Experience supporting chapter networks, volunteer-led structures, or community-based organizing.

- Arabic language skills.
- Experience working in advocacy, humanitarian, or mission-driven organizations.
- Experience volunteering for Palestinian-related causes.
Position Type and Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Work hours will generally align with organizational needs and Development team priorities. Some flexibility may be required.
