A private equity-backed portfolio company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead cross-functional execution, operational infrastructure, and performance management across a multi-site platform. This executive will serve as a key partner to the CEO, driving operational discipline, scaling systems, and ensuring alignment across business units. The role will focus on improving performance, optimizing cost structures, and building scalable operations to support rapid growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead enterprise operations strategy across multiple sites and business units
• Drive cross-functional execution and alignment across the organization
• Own P&L performance, cost management, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Build scalable operational infrastructure to support growth and expansion
• Establish KPI frameworks and performance management systems
• Partner with finance, supply chain, and commercial leadership to drive outcomes
• Lead transformation and process optimization initiatives across the enterprise
• Build and develop a high-performing operations leadership team
Qualifications
• 15 or more years of progressive operations leadership experience
• Prior experience as COO or equivalent senior leadership role
• Proven track record of P&L ownership and operational scaling
• Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments preferred
• Strong leadership presence and ability to partner with executive teams and boards
• Experience leading transformation and growth initiatives
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
Compensation Details
Base salary: $300,000 to $500,000
Bonus: Performance-based incentive opportunity
