The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will work closely with teams across Curana Health to build and improve reporting, dashboards, and standardized tools that make it easier to run the business day to day. You’ll help translate real operational needs into reliable, scalable solutions—supporting change management, adoption, and measurable outcomes. As we grow, this role will help meet increasing analytics demand, protect delivery timelines, improve the quality and consistency of reporting, and reduce operational risk—so Curana Health continues to get meaningful value from our data and analytics investments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and improve our foundational data in SQL Server, helping ensure it is accurate, well-structured, and scalable.
- Partner with Project Managers and business leaders to gather requirements, align on definitions, and deliver solutions that drive standardization across teams.
- Build and enhance interactive dashboards and reporting in Power BI that help leaders monitor performance and take action.
- Identify project and technical risks, propose options, and help prioritize work to remove roadblocks and keep initiatives on track.
- Contribute to product and tooling assessments (fit/gap analysis, proof of concepts) and share recommendations on data architecture and reporting approaches.
- Continuously improve systems, tools, and reporting processes by evaluating what is working, what isn’t, and implementing practical enhancements.
- We are hiring 2 BI Analysts to join our growing Analytics & Reporting Corporate department and will consider candidates from new graduates (with relevant internship/co-op experience) up to 5 years of related analytics experience.
- BS/BA in a quantitative, technical, or analytically focused field such as: Analytics/Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science/Software Engineering, Information Systems/MIS/IT, Informatics, Business Intelligence, Economics, Finance, or Accounting,
- Working knowledge of SQL (coursework, projects, or professional experience).
- Experience building dashboards and data visualizations in Power BI (preferred) or Tableau (coursework/projects acceptable for entry-level candidates).
- Strong Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong analytical/critical thinking skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with healthcare data concepts (e.g., claims, eligibility, provider data, EHR/EMR extracts, revenue cycle, quality measures) and data privacy expectations (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus.
- Clear communicator with the ability to partner cross-functionally and support change management/adoption.
- Experience working with healthcare data (e.g., claims, eligibility, provider data, EHR/EMR extracts, revenue cycle, quality measures).
- Healthcare experience (e.g., senior care, provider, payer, health tech, or related) is strongly preferred; we will also consider candidates who demonstrate a strong interest in healthcare and the ability to ramp quickly on the domain.
- Experience with data modeling and/or ETL/ELT concepts (academic projects or internships welcome).
