BUSINESS ANALYST:
The Business Analyst will serve on a federal government Performance Budget team, providing analytical and coordination support to the Project Manager. This junior-mid level position plays a key role in supporting performance measurement and reporting activities across the agency. This includes working with the team to identify goals and priorities, measuring progress towards those goals, and reporting the results in accordance with agency requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in all major performance activities and strategic reviews
- Serve on the Performance Budget team, helping to identify goals and priorities and determine how to best measure progress towards those goals and priorities
- Assist in setting performance targets and monitoring and reporting results
- Maintain agency’s measures, targets, and results in the department performance database
- Coordinate collection and review of performance budget data from multiple agency centers, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
- Clean, organize, and validate performance data for use in Tableau dashboards and formal program reports
- Support the Performance Budget team lead in planning and executing day-to-day deliverables
- Update and maintain task and activity status on SharePoint sites and/or Tableau dashboards; ensure timely responses to inquiries and requests
- Perform ad hoc data analysis, including trend identification and program performance comparisons
- Collaborate with agency centers, program staff, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve data discrepancies
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, business, health policy, or a related field; some consulting or federal program support experience preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in a federal or government contracting environment, preferably supporting data reporting or performance management programs
- Desirable: Tableau, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting federal government performance measurement activities
- Familiarity with federal performance budget formulation processes, including setting performance targets and monitoring and reporting results
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a federal agency environment
- Ability to manage multiple data streams and reporting timelines simultaneously
