About The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative, event planning, travel coordination, and project management support to the Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and their leadership team. This position requires a proactive individual capable of managing complex calendars, organizing international travel, and supporting high-level meetings and organizational events. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other administrative professionals within the Customer Group and across Marriott International to ensure seamless daily operations. The role demands a highly organized, creative, and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to adapt swiftly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The responsibilities include managing confidential information, preparing correspondence, coordinating performance reviews, processing invoices, managing office logistics, and supporting the execution of leadership meetings and town halls. The role also involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to ensure all logistical and organizational needs are met efficiently. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work across multiple time zones and cultural contexts, often under tight deadlines and with a high degree of discretion.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 5+ years of experience as an administrative assistant or related role
- OR a 4-year degree from an accredited university, preferably with a focus on Hotel and Restaurant Management
- Experience in marketing, hotel operations, or event management (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage a fast-paced environment
- Experience coordinating international travel and events (preferred)
- Knowledge of administrative processes, expense reconciliation, and budget management
- Manage and coordinate complex calendars, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and international travel arrangements for senior leadership
- Assist in planning and executing organizational events such as leadership meetings, town halls, and large-scale conferences, including venue selection, logistics, catering, and materials preparation
- Respond to departmental inquiries via phone and email, providing accurate information and follow-up as needed
- Draft, review, and send correspondence on behalf of senior leaders, ensuring clarity and professionalism
- Research and develop administrative policies and procedures to improve departmental efficiency
- Reconcile departmental expenses, prepare variance analyses, and assist with budget forecasting
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of meetings and events
- Prepare reports, presentations, and organizational charts as required
- Manage office logistics, including space management, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks such as invoice processing, expense reports, and payroll support
- Prioritize workload and delegate tasks when appropriate, maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
